A fully licensed and insured moving crew;
We have been doing long-distance moves for over 15 years, and have completed over 800 long-distance moves from Mississauga, so we know how to make sure your items arrive safely at their final destination, whether in Canada or the U.S.
Our team of professionally trained movers will handle all items that need to be moved, including any furniture, boxes, specialty items, office equipment, family belongings, and long-term storage needs.
When compared with carriers who transfer shipments to their regional partners along the way, the team at High Stream Moving will always be the same from start to finish; they will load your items in Mississauga and deliver them to you. This is important because many claims for damages related to long-distance moves occur when your belongings are being transferred between different carriers. You will be able to avoid this risk since it is the same team completing your move.
We strive to provide you with a seamless transition, with no hidden costs, no rushed planning, and no last-minute chaos.
When you relocate to another part of Canada, we can assist you whether you are a family, couple, or individual moving from one location, such as Mississauga, to another anywhere else in Canada.
02We will use the best packing practices and packing supplies suited to protecting your belongings during your cross-country move. Our professional movers are trained to handle fragile items using specialized packing techniques to ensure safe transport over long distances.

You may choose to use storage services if your move date and delivery date do not match, giving you additional room and flexibility as part of your relocation.
05We help companies transfer their entire office, including furniture, equipment, files, and workstations, while minimizing operational downtime through a defined process. We regularly assist businesses relocating from Mississauga's major commercial areas, including the Airport Corporate Centre, Meadowvale Business Park, and the Hurontario corridor.

A family relocated from a 3-bedroom home in Erin Mills to Calgary, Alberta. Booked 6 weeks in advance during the off-peak season, the move took place in October and included both a piano and a king-sized adjustable bed frame. The goods arrived at their destination within 6 business days with no damage claims.
A couple moved from a 1-bedroom unit near Square One to Ottawa, Ontario. Upon booking, building management was contacted directly to reserve the elevator for moving day. The goods were delivered within 2 business days. No storage was required during transit.
The office relocation from Meadowvale Business Park to Montreal, Quebec included 14 workstations, a server rack, and a filing system. The move took place over a weekend to minimize operational downtime. All goods were set up at the destination and ready for operation by Monday morning.
Having an accurate long-distance moving cost is a must for relocation, since a price quote is needed to transport your goods from Mississauga to any province in Canada or to the United States. A comprehensive price quote also assists you with developing a budget, allows you to avoid surprise charges, and gives you an idea of all the items that will be included prior to your moving date.
While distance is an important factor to consider when estimating the cost of long-distance moving, many other factors will also affect the cost of your move: your home's size, your shipment's weight or volume, packing needs, the need for storage, the date of the move, access conditions such as stairs, elevators, and long carries, and any specialty items.

Several details can change the cost of a long-distance move. The cost may also vary based on the day of the week and time of year — peak season (May through September) typically carries higher rates than off-season months.
Your inventory size will impact the labour, packing supplies, transportation, and storage that you require. If you have more furniture, boxes, appliances, and other specialty items, it will take more time for our crew to pack the items; however, if you have fewer items, it will require less time for packing.
Because of how we charge for packing services, if you want us to pack everything, there will be an additional charge for packing, as well as for transport logistics.
If you need to place your belongings in storage after your move because your new home is not ready, you can include storage in your contract with us, either on a short-term or long-term basis.
Some buildings have access conditions that may slow down or delay your move. In some cases, access to your residence may only be via a stairway or can only be accessed through a loading dock. The type of building you are moving out of may also dictate the amount of work and time required to complete your move. Extra fees may apply for elevator bookings, long carries, and bulky items — clarify these with your move coordinator in advance.
Certain specialty items may require the use of specialty equipment or additional personnel to complete the move, including pianos, large furniture, antiques, fragile items, office equipment, and oversized items.
To save money on your long-distance move, start early, downsize before packing, separate unused items, and get a free estimate before booking peak moving dates.
Ideally, you should book your move at least two to three months ahead of time. Try to schedule it during the off-season — typically October through April — when demand is lower, rates are more competitive, and your preferred dates are easier to secure.
Before providing an estimate, High Stream Moving will go over your move and explain what is included and what may cost extra.

Mississauga's condo market is among the most rapidly expanding in the Greater Toronto Area, especially along the Square One Corridor, Hurontario Street, and Port Credit. When relocating out of your condo unit or building, there are many additional considerations that you need to be aware of that may not be accommodated by every mover.
Most condo buildings in Mississauga require that moving elevators be reserved in advance — usually 48 to 72 hours ahead; however, some buildings require that reservations be made up to a week in advance. We deal directly with your condo management to ensure that there is a secured elevator set aside for you on your move day.
Prior to moving in or out of some condo buildings in Mississauga, the condo corporation may require a copy of the movers' Certificate of Insurance. High Stream Moving provides this upon request.
Some condo buildings will instruct movers to use the loading docks rather than the main entrances. By checking with building management before your move day, we confirm any access requirements so that the entire moving process goes smoothly.
Most condo buildings have restrictive moving hours. The majority restrict moving to weekdays, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. We plan your move around your building's specific rules to avoid violations or rescheduling.
High Stream Moving is fully licensed and insured for all long-distance relocations from Mississauga, whether within Canada or to the United States. High Stream Moving follows the industry standards established by the Canadian Association of Movers (CAM), which has represented the moving and storage industry in Canada since 1969. When moving across the border into the United States, High Stream Moving is also compliant with FMCSA regulations covering consumer protection.
If requested, you can obtain a Certificate of Insurance for your condominium or building as part of High Stream Moving's moving services.
While items are being transported, they are fully protected by both released value and full value protection.
Full value protection is recommended for verifiably high-value shipments. Your move coordinator will verify your choice of coverage in your written estimate prior to moving day.
