I have moved long-distance three times now, and this latest move was by far the easiest. The people at High Stream came to our condo before the move to do a video walkthrough and provide an estimate on cubic footage, and the amount quoted was the amount charged. The crew who unloaded the truck in Halifax were the same people who loaded it in Toronto; this was something I was not expecting. Our items arrived in the same condition they left. High Stream is a reputable and trustworthy moving company.

We had a few days between vacating our old condo in North York and receiving keys for our new condo in the south end of Halifax. The free month of storage we received from High Stream was a great help as we were able to take our time finding a way to move into our new place without having to rush or incur additional costs. I had no idea what to expect from such a long move when I moved from Toronto to Halifax in September, but High Stream did a great job taking care of everything we needed moved. It was a decent service. I just moved from Toronto to Winnipeg a couple of weeks ago, and pretty much everything went as planned. The moving team showed up on time to wrap my items up with moving blankets before loading them onto the truck. The scheduled delivery took place on Day 5 – as per my original quote for delivery time from High Stream. As for price, it was exactly what was quoted. Not an extra cent since I received my final invoice. I would 100% use High Stream Moving again!

HSM has worked hard without any downtime and was working for 8 continuous hours through snowy weather conditions – this is something not too many movers can do. The lead mover ran and directed the whole moving process extremely well and his wrapping methodically (carefully and thoroughly) wrapped every piece of the furniture. It may have taken a little longer to accomplish, but when you consider the end result, it is class and that is what people are concerned about..nothing was scratched or damaged. This is certainly worth it!

I was astonished at the amount of care taken to wrap the items – they had every piece of furniture wrapped up tight and all fragile boxes labelled clearly. We had some tricky items (huge sectional couch, very large glass dining room table, and upright desk) and they handled it like it was no big deal.

The rep that managed our delivery kept in contact throughout the duration of the trip, he answered every question that I had (even when I was losing my mind over the time of crossing the border). If you are planning on moving cross-border, then you need to use this service.
